We invite YOU to join us along with 100’s of Los Angeles Area rental housing providers to discuss proposed legislation and the trends impacting housing supply and affordability, and the state of the California regulatory environment impacting housing. Keynote Speaker:

Anthony “Tony” Russo, a Partner at Russo McGarty & Associates

Tony Russo has a nearly 30-year track record in political strategy and public policy. Tony led the successful opposition campaign efforts to defeat Propositions 10 (2018) and 21 (2020), and is again heading up the statewide opposition campaign against the Justice for Renters Act. Before forming Russo McGarty & Associates, Tony was Group Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for the Irvine Company, one of the nation's largest private real estate companies. Throughout his career, he has participated in and led numerous successful political efforts and statewide ballot initiatives.

Kate Bell, Founder, Kate Bell Strategies 

Kate Bell, founder of Kate Bell Strategies, is known as one of California’s most effective lobbyists before the Legislature and Administration, with nearly two decades of representing clients in industries such as aviation, cybersecurity, education, business, health, housing, procurement, taxes, and technology.  Before founding Kate Bell Strategies, Kate was a partner at Capitol Advocacy, where she led the firm’s tax and procurement practices. During her time at the firm, Kate won several multi-million-dollar tax refund claims, negotiated settlements, developed effective policies and new business incentives, and represented clients before the Board of Equalization, California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, Franchise Tax Board, Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, and the Office of Tax Appeals. She also worked on taxability issues, tax regulations, and tax reform before the Legislature.

Daniel Yukelson, Executive Director, Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles

Daniel Yukelson is currently the Executive Director of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA).  As Certified Public Accountant, Yukelson began his career at Ernst & Young, the global accounting firm, and throughout his career, he has served in senior financial roles principally as Chief Financial Officer for various public, private and start-up companies, including more recently for 15-years as Chief Financial Officer of Premiere Radio Networks, the largest U.S. radio network and now subsidiary of iHeart Media, and for nearly 4-years as Chief Financial Officer of Oasis West Realty, the owner of the Beverly Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills where he was involved in the construction and opening of the Waldorf Astoria.  He served as a planning commissioner, serving one year as Chairperson, and as a Public Works Commissioner in the City of Beverly Hills.
