On Saturday, June 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Culver City Hall, the Culver City Marijuana Task Force will be convening.
The Marijuana Task Force was created by City Council in response to the passage of California Proposition 64. Its goal is to develop comprehensive regulations related to recreational and medical marijuana while ensuring the protection of public safety, health, and quality of life in Culver City.
In 2014, the Culver City Council adopted an ordinance to prohibit smoking in multi-unit housing. The majority of complaints managers and providers receive today are not from cigarette smoke but from Marijuana smoke. Individuals do not need to smoke marijuana to ingest it and the current city regulations prohibiting smoking in multifamily properties should apply to marijuana as well.
Make sure to attend and advocate for a holistic no smoking policy in Culver City!
