The Beverly Hills Property Owners and the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles invite you to meet the candidates for Beverly Hills City Council. There are two open seats for the upcoming election on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, replacing Mayor Julian A. Gold, M.D. and Councilmember Lili Bosse. Nine candidates have officially qualified for the Beverly Hills City Council: Alissa Roston, Mary Wells, Sharon Persovski, Myra Demeter, Craig Corman, Nooshin Meshkaty, Hamid Omrani, Tiffany Davis and Robin Rowe.

Join us from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the offices of KW Commercial, 439 North Canon Drive, 3rd Floor, Beverly Hills, CA. FREE, 2-hour parking is available in the City of Beverly Hills parking lot in the building (entrance from both Canon Drive and Beverly Drive).

Invited Candidates*

Alissa Roston is the former president of the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education, chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission, chair of the Charitable Solicitation Commission and president of the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills.

Myra Demeter has served two terms on the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education and was twice elected president; served seven years on the Health and Safety Commission; and is currently serving her second term on the Planning Commission where she is the immediate past chair.

Craig Corman is an attorney and three-term Planning Commissioner. He is a Beverly Hills High School alumnus, raised his two children in the city and is a Rotary Club member.

Nooshin Meshkaty is a NASA engineer, former president of the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education member and former Traffic Commissioner. She believes her technological prowess is well suited to enhancing public safety, supporting local businesses and fostering a culture of innovation.

Sharon Persovski is a building designer, nonprofit leader and former chair of the Architectural Commission.

Tiffany Davis is the founder of an event production company and believes her skills in event management, communication, budgeting and revenue generation will be an asset to the council. She has held leadership roles on the NEXT Committee and Chamber of Commerce.

William Shaw,

Founder of Beverly Hills Property Owners and Board Member and Past President of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles, is an attorney a a licensed California real estate broker. He has served on numerous boards and philanthropic organizations. He is a Board member at St. John’s Seminary, a member of the Order of Malta, and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. He has served in numerous positions at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills as President of the Pastoral Council and he currently serves on the Financial counsel. He served on the Board of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. He is a Board member of the John Thomas Dyes School and has for many years been a member of the Board of Director of the Los Angeles Area Boys Scouts of America. He is a Past President of the Big Ten Club of South in California and for 12 years produced the Rose Bowl Dinner, the Dinners for Champions. He is a four term Past President of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles and a longtime member of Rotary 5, the Rotary Club of Los Angeles.

Daniel Yukelson

He is currently the Executive Director of The Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA). As Certified Public Accountant, Yukelson began his career at Ernst & Young, the global accounting firm, and had served in senior financial roles principally as Chief Financial Officer for various public, private and start-up companies, including as Chief Financial Officer of Premiere Radio Networks, the largest U.S. radio network and now subsidiary of iHeart Media, and as Chief Financial Officer of Oasis West Realty, the owner of the Beverly Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. He is a former planning commissioner in the City of Beverly Hills and had served as Chairperson. He is a member of Wilshire Rotary Club.
