Latest Rental Housing Trends and How Property Values Are Being Impacted Under the Current Regulatory Environment

Have you thought about how housing legislation, particularly in the City of Los Angeles and neighboring cities such as West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Culver City and Santa Monica, is impacting the current and future value of your investment in rental property?  How will your retirement plans be impacted by lower and lower rent “caps” and tenant protection regulations that may cost you thousands of dollars? What have all of these regulations done to the equity you have in your properties?

Would you like to hear a real time market perspective from the income (multifamily) real estate investment experts at Transwestern?  Please join us in person as we explore how the current environment of rent control and tenant protection regulations impact the value of your real estate investment portfolio.

On Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., we will be giving you unique market insights on how specific laws impact the value of your properties, and how to best protect yourself against value loss.  We will be discussing the value impacts of proposed statewide legislation, and also the most recent rent control expansion ballot initiative, the “Justice for Renters Act.” We will also take up the City of Los Angeles’ recent regulations like Measure ULA and Santa Monica’s Measure RS, monetary thresholds required before you can seek evictions, and relocation fees required to be paid to tenants who decide to vacate rather than pay legally permitted rent increases for a rent control exempt unit.

This in-person seminar is being provided by the nationally renowned real estate experts at Transwestern Real Estate Services. Transwestern Real Estate Services adds value for investors, owners and occupiers of all commercial property types through a comprehensive perspective and by providing solutions grounded in sound market intelligence. Part of the Transwestern companies, the firm applies a consultative approach to Agency Leasing, Asset Services, Tenant Advisory + Workplace Solutions, Capital Markets, and Research and Investment Analytics.
