Richard Otterstrom

Richard L. Otterstrom, a native of Los Angeles, attended Westchester High School from 1959 through 1962 and graduated the University of Southern California as a Doctor of Pharmacy in 1969. He soon entered the family real estate business where he specialized in residential income property sales and development. Richard has been involved in the state and local Realtor associations’ leadership for 40 years and he was the local Realtor Association’s President in 1980. He is a recipient of the local Association’s Realtor of the Year Award, the William May Garland Award, and the Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He received the State Association Director for Life designation in 1992 and became Chairman of the California Real Estate Political Action Committee in 1998. Richard developed homes, condominiums and apartment buildings from 1976 until 1986. He built over 150 residences. He is a director of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles and was AAGLA’s President for 2012-2013. He lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife Alexandra Otterstrom where they raised their four children Richard C. Otterstrom, Christina Angelina, Jesica Brucart and Stephanie Brucart.
