Turner is active in her local community, serving as the Vice Chair of the Legal Committee and a Board member of the Apartment Owner’s Association of Greater Los Angeles. She is a Commissioner and the Vice President for the Los Angeles Convention and Exhibition Center Authority. She has been the Keynote Speaker for the Construction Industry’s Small Business Outreach Academy. As a consultant, she has assisted companies with procuring government contracts. She has served as a state and local government liaison for several professional and trade organizations. She was an Arbitrator for the Ford Motor Company Consumer Dispute Resolution Board. She has served as an Area Representative to the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s Advisory Council on the Clean Air Act. She chairs the Nominating Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors of her neighborhood association; she is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the FAME Santa Monica Redevelopment Corporation which develops, constructs and manages Senior Housing Projects in the city of Santa Monica. She was selected as one of the Outstanding Young Women of America. Turner earned her Bachelor of .Arts degree and Juris Doctor Law degree from the University of Southern California.
